I love everything in this post. Yessssssss. Read EU books with me! SPACE MADNESS TIMES FOR EVERYONE. I feel so silly because, like you, I never really paid any attention to the EU (except for the RotS novelization, which is really good, and the Jedi Apprentice books I read last year) but now that Disney has nullified it I'm suddenly Very Interested.

Um. So. That AU you're talking about--is there fic? Because I want that fic, like, a lot.

Now that the EU doesn't matter it's like getting to the party after it's already ended and being like "soooo... what'd i miss?" I'm such a slow/lazy reader though, clearly that's been a factor in my lack of interest. Man, i even own the RotS novelization and i've never read it! I'M THE WORST

Unfortunately i do not know of a fic, but i mean, that's gotta be out there, right? It's the most obvious and necessary AU of all!

WEIRD AL IS SO GOOD. A reminder which coincided perfectly with the Weird Al resurgence going on now. SO GOOD!!!!!!!
GOD YES. I have loved Weird Al so much since I was like 6 or 7, and that has not changed. So, so glad he is still around, still doing his thing, and that somehow culture has done this funny little 360 thing where he doesn't have to adjust his work at all really to become relevant and ~cool~ again. That is just so great.

The amount of good will Weird Al has generated from being a stable silly pop culture fixture is so heartwarming. And everybody who's old enough is like "yeah i used to listen to him on CASSETTE" and now we're all watching him on youtube. :*)

I mean, what's the point of introducing giant magic wolves soul-bonded to your main characters if they're not gonna help save the world from ice zombies?!

FOR REAL. The wolves have been in the story from the start for a reason!!

At least the show does justice to Jaime/Brienne in other ways, but the loss of "I dreamed of you" is unforgiveable.

Although now that I think about it, I actually can't remember the timeline. I did think Sam got there in a different group than Jon though. But now I cannot remember!

You know, i can't remember either. I'm pretty sure Sam got there after Jon, but i thought maybe there was some overlap when Sam and Benjen would've been at Castle Black at the same time. Or i just figured "Night's Watch! Benjen is famous! Everybody must know him!" COLDHAAAAANDS *shakes fist at the heavens*

Whoever compiled it only did so up until book three, so there are no spoilers beyond that - just speculation. It helped me out a lot when I was curious about certain theories but didn't want to be spoiled :)
