I kneeewwwww it had to happen, because that second episode was just TOO MUCH ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY WANT TO GET ON EACH OTHER that it would have been really super awkward from a storytelling perspective to cockblock them YET AGAIN and have to go through this whole thing AGAIN before they actually made out. And then as soon as he said "Chris isn't here" at the end i was like heeeeeeeeeeere it comes and then i passed out and missed everything else ha ha just kidding no but seriously i'm comatose right now and typing this from another dimension
That's basically what I went through! It would have been ridiculous to say, "Almost, but noooooot yet!" And yes, as soon as he said Chris wasn't there, I was like, "Heeeeeeeeeeeeey?" AND I WAS RIGHT.
Man i used to like Chris but what with that Ann awkwardness and now being such a stickler for the rules that he can't make an exception for Tom's silliness and CONSTANTLY GETTING IN THE WAY OF LESLIE/BEN... go away Chris. >:[
Going into this i was operating under the assumption that we wouldn't get kissing until the season finale, but obvs i was hoping for sooner and I MEAN IT JUST MAKES SENSE, THERE IS ONLY SO FAR YOU CAN GO WITH THAT TENSION BEFORE THE DAM BREAKS AND ALSO IT JUST STARTS TO SEEM RIDICULOUS and i am so happy Ann was a voice of reason. Makeout-encouraging reason.

There is so so much i loved about these eps, like the amount of stuff i laughed at is friggin ridiculous and it is such a perfect comedy but i can't even right now because LESLIE AND BEN

I hope tumblr GOES TO TOWN on Leslie's symbolically plaid jacket at that Little League meeting.In all seriousness though one of my absolute favorite moments was the Ann and Ben scene, because not only was it Ben trying to fix what is obviously the most important relationship to Leslie, but when Ann mentioned that Leslie liked him and HIS SMILE and Ann's going on about how immature it all is but in a goofy teasing way and it's adorable and precious and perfect and also hungover Ann
