See, i loved the ambiguity of the final shot, because it could very well have fallen over after it cut to black. YOU DON'T KNOW. But it plants the idea that it wasn't real. And once the idea is there, well. That's the whole movie, isn't it?

GFAGKHDFSFJ LOVE IT

Ha, seriously. There is a long-hallowed tradition of ambiguous final shots, so. (BUT IT TOTALLY FUCKING FELL AND YOU WILL NOT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE.)

I'd like to think it fell, too. It's fun to consider the possibilities of anything and everything being a dream (and the ambiguity of the ending really does make you consider EVERYTHING), but i want the journey to have had a tangible positive outcome. And i love that the whole point of it is that YOU choose whether it's real or not, just like Cobb made his choice when he didn't wait to see if the top would fall over.

Just scrolling through really fast because GAH I haven't seen it yet and am DYING to, but:
Agh, i love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. No big deal, just FLOATIN' AROUND LIKE A FUCKING ASTRONAUT.

God, I love JGL. I really do. He's just the coolest dude, isn't he? I love following his blog on Tumblr (that I even CAN follow his blog on Tumblr!), and how just genuinely awesome he is, ~all the time~. Sorry for that, but I have to admit, he's kind of my main reason for wanting to see this, apart from how just basically cool it looks. SO YAY.

And there's Edith Piaf used? YAY, I LOVE HER TOO.

ZELLIE WHY DID YOU CLICK ON THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE?!?!??!?! DON'T DO THAT!!!!!!

But yes, ~*~JGL~*~, he's magical. I had such a crush on him back in the days of 3rd Rock From the Sun! And then he grew up to be talented as FUCK and oh yeah, still incredibly attractive. JEEZ, GUY.

GO SEE IT NOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW

LOL I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF SPOILERS

Yes! All of that, plus I just love how hard he works on his side projects, especially Sundance, and that he's very serious about the future of transformative works. How cool is that?

I WILLLLL. I mean, not now, I'm going to work now, but SOOOOOON

I was a little distracted that an Edith Piaf song featured so prominently (and awesomely) since Marion Cotillard played Edith Piaf... [...] And i did also enjoy thinking about Batman, like when Fischer had a sack over his head and was being drugged LIKE SCARECROW?!

I NOTICED THESE TOO AND I WAS LIKE "I HOPE THESE WERE INTENTIONAL BECAUSE THAT WOULD MAKE THIS WWWWWWAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY MORE COOL THAN IT ALREADY IS WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!"

Also, I suspect JGL was a cat in a past life.

CROSSOVER CITY. ...is, um, is what it was.

JGL was definitely a cat at one time. I am so impressed he did all of that himself. That mofo is talented.

I loved the name thing. Mal=bad, Ariadne=helper of getting out of mazes. Such an amazing movie. I totally swear I heard the top catch like it was going to topple at the end. I gushed in my head about the Edith Piaf song when I first heard it because of the Marion connection.

Loved everything you said!

Ariadne=helper of getting out of mazes
I laughed at that and was like, "Really??" I mean, who's named Ariadne these days? (I mean, I loved it, but still.)
