Okay, you've managed to fascinate me with your research. One thing that isn't made clear (at least to me), how is Gaetano and Thomas related?

Thos. and Gaetano are one in the same. He probably anglicized his name..it was confusing for me too. Evidently His daughter (the grandma who remembered the factory called him thomas ..so maybe thats what he went by.
