Of course I know that. And I am, depending on the price, willing to pay for power. I am not a fool who thinks that there can be nothing lost for such a great gain.

Unfortunately, I was not here for the curse that you are referring to. As it stands, I am not being arbitrarily granted a power with a price; I am methodically inquiring for ways to gain a power that would be useful to me, and similarly, judging whether the price is worth the gift.
