It was really far too early to be roaming the halls of the ship. Though, to be honest, he'd rather be on the ship then on the station. So he follows Spock into his quarters, blinking a bit when the lights were turned up. To be honest, he was probably liking the dimly lit room better.
Everything around him is admired down to the IDIC sign before he moves over to the pillow that his significant other had pulled out. The smell of the incense was slightly soothing even as he moves over and sits down on one of the pillows.
"As long as it helps, Spock." He tells him with a soft smile.
Spock moved to have a seat on one cushion before gesturing to the other with his hand. "Please have make yourself comfortable and relaxed, Jim." He told him, making his own posture comfortable, while making certain he'd be able to hold a meld easily for as long as the alien needed it.
"I will initiate a mind meld, and I need you to bring up the most immediate thoughts that are troubling your mind when you are attempting your sleep cycle." He ordered carefully, reaching his hand out. Limber fingers spread like a starfish on the Human's face, seeking out the psi-points while his eyes fluttered shut. "My mind to your mind. Your thoughts to my thoughts." It was all that was said as the points were found and the meld initiated.
Jim managed to get comfortable, or as comfortable as anyone could, on the cushion. Those blue eyes listened to his companion even as he felt those fingers find his psi-points. How many times was that going to happen in his life again? Especially considering what was going on. However, he just relaxes and lets his mind clear for a moment. Especially when Spock asked him to bring up the most immediate thoughts that were troubling his mind.
Thinking, he brought up the near destruction of the ship... brought up the Romulan... Then again he'd been having that one nightmare forever. But it was the fact of his ship being nearly blown to smithereens that had caused him the lack of sleep. Then there had been the crew in a coma, it all went hand in hand with one another.
Spock's brow furrowed slightly. While he did ask Jim to bring up what was troubling him, it was quite an onslaught. Thoughts, reactions, emotions, there was all so much. But he could handle it - he had to.
The destruction of the ship was the most prominent, so Spock decided to start with that. He'd have to suppress thoughts a little at a time each day to make certain that suppressed memories stayed suppressed. He took the memory of the Romulan, of Nero and started pulling it from Jim's conscious, dipping into his mind briefly to tuck it away, out of the mind's main access area.
Back to the 'surface' he went, pulling at the memory of the destruction of the ship. The work Spock was doing probably felt very strange to Jim, with Spock pulling memories away and getting them out of Jim's front memories and into where the mind stored the suppressed memories.
