Racing around the track was the ship's captain and the doctor's friend. It was odd that in all the places he could be, it'd be the gym, considering all of Bones' requests of the captain exercising went on deaf ears.
"You really piss me off, y'know?" He spoke up, noting that his southern drawl came out more when he was irritated.
He watched Jim race past him, arms crossing over his chest. "You pretend to ignore everything I say, and then go and do whatever it is you want..." Sometimes he wondered how they had stayed friends all this time.
Hearing Bones' voice makes him stop dead in his tracks. That... was not something he'd been expecting. In fact, he'd been doing it because his best friend wasn't around to see it. Though he can't help but smile a bit hearing that southern accent deep with its irritation.
"Right, right... Keep going, I'll join ya." He'd be a hypocrite if he'd just watch the captain continue on with the physical training and he sit back and watch. The last thing he wanted was his nursing staff and captain to ridicule him for inactivity.
Sure, his clothes weren't exactly meant for such activity, but a couple laps wouldn't hurt him.
"Enjoying the break, Captain? Or are you getting too antsy?"
Keep going... That gets a slight roll of his eyes, but he goes back to running around the track. After all, he was enjoying himself before Bones came in. No, that wasn't entirely true. He'd needed something to do and this was it.
Stopping by his best friend for a moment, he shrugs. "Enjoying it somewhat, but I'm getting restless. Never was one to like being in one place for too long. You know that, Bones."
