In the past couple of weeks, McCoy had noticed certain chemicals missing from his supplies closet, but to be honest, he figured it was just Christine falling behind on her logs or something. He wasn't too worried about it because he had faith in his medical staff. He walked into the medbay that morning, however, in a rather foul mood because he'd missed his alarm that morning and was now running late and hadn't had his coffee.

Bones walked in to find a stranger in his supply closet. Wait, no, not a stranger. It was De Moivre. What in the hell was she doing taking shit from his supplies. That's what the lab was for. "Emilie!" he barked as he approached. "What in God's name are you doing and why are you stealing my supplies. I could have you written up and your ass would be back on a base before you could even make up an excuse. Out!"

It really wasn't much of a surprise that McCoy was mad. The man seemed to be in a perpetually pissed off mood. Emilie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Oh, damn. It's you..." She muttered to herself, and finally turned around to look at him. Of course he was yelling. He was always yelling. Even when maybe he should have been whispering, or just, you know, talking normally. Maybe he didn't know how to do anything besides yell? That was something to look into later, she though. Maybe it's even be an experiment! Ooh, now she was getting excited about that idea, and bounced on her toes briefly ( ... )

It wasn't that Leonard was in a perpetually pissed off mood, contrary to the popular belief. In fact, he had been known, on occasion, to even hold friendly conversation. Why did he yell so often, then? Because people didn't know what the fuck they were doing and when they got in the way of his job or his responsibilities, he didn't take it lightly. Now, here he was, in need of a hypospray for an ensign with space sickness and there was a lab rat in his supply closet taking whatever she wished at will.

"Of course I've checked my messages, don't make stupid assumptions like that when you're in my fucking medical bay taking things. Are you even logging those? I'll need to replace them and if I have to do inventory for a second time today because you're being inconsiderate, I am not going to be happy." He bumped her shoulder as he walked through her to get to the hypo he needed. "I'd be better if people would let me in on what the hell was going on here and I didn't have randoms grabbing things from my goddamn supply closet without ( ... )
