A few of my favorites as a kid were the Phantom Tollbooth, The Darklord of Derkholm and the entire first two series in the Young Jedi Knights (not the last series, though, that was seriously terrible).

Also, have you read any of the Star Trek kids books? How do you feel about all of the Star Trek books in general?

I hate them, but the kids ones are actually really good, for the most part, imo. I think I read the one about Geordi playing Capture the Flag about fifty times.
