God I hate this shit...

So, I have this piece entitled Pretty Girl that I posted to FF (ages ago!)  because I like their system a hell of a lot better than Dokuga. Someone (forget who) pressured me into posting Pretty Girl on Dokuga after I was said and done posting the drabble on FF. Now, I want to make it clear that I wrote the whole thing and had it ALL down completed ( Read more... )

I would post that at the end of your next installment. The reviewer will get it when they read the next chapter.

I'm so glad I don't have many followers. I don't get crazy reviews like that ( I'm way behind on posting on all my stories ).

As tempting as that would be, you and I both know what the result would be.

LC would be admonished by the admins. for retaliating instead of reporting it and allowing the crack admin. team to handle it, even though--despite their claims to the contrary--they have no way to trace anonymous reviewers.

The other truth, the admins. don't know how to block anonymous reviews. This why it hasn't been done.

The site should be renamed "Run Amok".

Ugh. I've gotten the "god, drabbles normally suck, and yours doesn't really, but write more for each chapter or I'll stop reading!" Um, go fuck yourself? I don't write for you, you little snot.

And yup, they are ALWAYS anon. All of the most insulting reviews are. I've come to the conclusion that the internet has desensitized the (mostly) younger generation to actual emotion and civility. It's all about clicking a link and getting exactly what you want, instantly. It's not like actual people are on the other end of that!

Anywho, I'm sorry you couldn't say that to them directly. I find that the rude/idiotic ones never read A/Ns either unfortunately. But maybe I'm just cynical, lol.

On FF I turned on the "no anon" reviews as soon as they started happening there and everything has been fine a peachy. On Dokuga, there's no that option and so I've dealt with it for a while now. This one just tipped the iceberg.

Things I don't miss about the Sess/Kag fandom... hahaha

You could always just say "fuck it" and stop posting on Dokuga full stop. I mean, you said yourself you don't get anything out of the community there anymore so it seems like a bit of wasted effort, no? It's the same reason I left. Just grew out of it there I guess. FF.net is much more convenient and a lot less headache inducing.

I am seriously considering it. I know I've been saying for years now that I wasn't much into the site any more, but this is getting ridiculous. Of course, then I get those really nice reviewers and I hate to leave them, lol.

You should have pulled all your work from Dokuga a long time ago. I don't think the pay-off from that site has outweighed the grief it has given you.

...If they don't like drabbles, why are they reading drabbles..? Or at the very least, why are they complaining to you about having chosen to read something they already know they dislike? "You wrote a kind of fic I don't like, but I read it anyway, and don't like that you write that kind of fic." I certainly don't get the complaint over just a "handful of words"; drabbles are a stylistic exercise in brevity, the whole point is you tell just as much story as a chapter length fic, but in a fraction of the words ( ... )

Sometimes I feel like the more an author puts out, the more readers feel they have the right to demand things from them.

This is SO true.

Btw, when I mentioned people who update a fic once a year (if even that) and I that have never forgotten a moment of the fic since its birth, YOU are kept in mind there--along with others. Now I know I border on hero-worship here because you are just that awesome, but still. You have a way of writing that just strikes a person straight into the heart or mind or funny bone (depending upon where you are aiming) and I devour every word of yours. I know drawing and sculpture are more your thing--which I will OWN one (eventually...this I vow, lol), but your fanfic writing is very impressionable. I just wanted you to know that.

Can I certify everything you just said? Because it is SO FUCKING ON POINT! I ranted about this very thing in of my A/Ns because those ungrateful ass swallowers got on my fucking nerves! It's usually the ones who never write a gatdamn thing and they think that you owe them your first born or something...

Sorry for the cussing...reading what you said caused a flashback and a nervous tic...
