Strange requirement

I was on an LJ community, which apparently kicked me off because I didn't have my age listed.  Fair enough, I put that in my profile.  I read the rules to reapply, and there was one strange one - must have posted to lj at least two times within the last month on different days.  I really don't get that one - I'm not much of a writer, so don't ( Read more... )

Which community? Some are pretty firm around the age thing, others not so much.

It was snape_potter. I really like reading their stories, so it was worth jumping through all the hoops. I thought I had my age posted - I'm sure they requested it when I signed up, but went ahead and stuck it in my profile, to eliminate further problems. Oh, well. I guess I should be proud to have made it to such a ripe old age... LOL

Strikethrough 2007 has put the fear of the almighty into a lot of comm owners. The posting requirement is probably to offset any trolls looking for trouble. Some outside crusaders might make an LJ, join comms, then 'report' things they don't like. If there are postings, it's more likely that someone is a legitimate LJ user.

I happen to really like my pairing. We'll see what happens in a couple of weeks - after I've read the new book.

I know it can be a problem, but most (not all, but most) stories are set post-Hogwarts, to eliminate the chan aspects of the relationship. I like those better, anyway...
