General Rules and Procedures for tm_challenge

Membership

♦ Membership is required for participation in a challenge. You do not need to be a member to vote.

♦ One LJ account per person, please. Joining with multiple accounts to submit multiple entries is not cool, so don't do it.

Posting

♦ Challenges run on a two-week schedule (unless otherwise stated). Extentions for submissions and voting may occur and will be annouced when necessary.

♦ Unless specific to a challenge, posting access is reserved for the moderator only. If you wish to advertise on tm_challenge, please see THIS POST.

♦ If you have an idea for a challenge, please see THIS POST.

Sumbissions

♦ Please read and follow the rules for each challenge.

♦ Please use the submission form included in the prompt post to submit your entries to challenges. Fill out the forms COMPLETELY.

♦ Please keep your entries anonymous until after voting has ended. Once voting has ended, you are welcome to repost your entries wherever you wish. In some cases, challenges may not require anonimity, and will be clearly marked.

Voting (all challenges)

♦ Voting lasts one week, unless otherwise stated.

♦ Votes are cast by comments to voting posts.

♦ Please use the submission form included in the prompt post to submit your votes. Fill out the forms COMPLETELY.

♦ You may vote however you wish - no explanations for your votes are required unless specificlly requested in the prompt rules.

♦ Do not vote for yourself. Please do not ask others to vote for you.

Points

♦ First place votes are worth 5 points; second place votes are worth 3 points; third place votes are worth 1 point. Winners will be determined by how many total points they receive. Votes are counted using THIS script.

♦ Special category votes (when applicable) are not worth points. At the end of voting, the entry with the most votes for the special category will earn that award.

♦ Banners will be provided for winning entries as soon as possible.

Note: Rules are subject to change at any time. Mods will inform the community at large, is a major change occurs.
