Just Can't Find This Fic

I'm trying to find a story where Azcadellia's assistant, the black guy, had actually been her intended and had remained with her through everything because he has cared about her. I think it was a Cain/DG story as well.

I just did a quick scan of the rarepair and other characters tags at tinman_fic, but didn't see anything. Will keep looking, though.
