Um. I really don't think this will make any sense, but I saw part of that encounter and it was one of the most intensely beautiful things I have ever witnessed. No one can ever know I said this.

No one will, but while we're exchanging confidences, Hal, would you care to explain to me why Angel and I woke up with somewhat altered memories a while ago?

Certain things overheard during said altered memories give me the impression I owe you my and my son's continued existence, at least in parts. Let's call it quits, shall we?

It's sort of hard to explain, and really I don't think Connor has any idea you guys remember any of it. But I wondered if history had been altered just a bit.

We had a run in with a faerie and then a leprechaun while we were in Ireland. The leprechaun decided to screw with us and sent us back to Galway right about the time you were set to turn Angel. It screwed with his head alot, but really he is the one who is responsible for not messing up history.

So, I have to ask, would you have turned me or just killed me?
