Annie Lennox video premiere!

The video for  "Open Arms," the first single from Annie Lennox's upcoming album Songs of Mass Destruction, premiered on Amazon.com today.

As you would expect, she sounds (and looks) fantastic. The video was kinda wah-wah.

MTV and VH1 seldom play videos anymore at all. They were always youth-oriented, but these days, they program to 12-to-19 year olds. They wouldn't play anyone over 30....unless it's Madonna or Janet Jackson, and as the last few years have shown us, both had to strip all but naked to get any airplay (thus Madonna's pink tights and pole-dancing moves on the last CD).

I kinda like the song. Her slow stuff doesn't always do it for me, but it's more sonically interesting in the background - *looks at internets* it's produced by Glen Ballard. Hmmm.
