AnyDVD is a program I download despite the fact I almost never use it, just so I have it on hand in case I do need it. Since, like you, I see no need to get any HD-DVD or Blu-Ray discs yet I haven't bothered with AnyDVD HD. I have considered HD TV. When I can get a true HD (i.e. 1080p without downscaling) telly in the 37"-40" size range for what I paid for my current TV (just under £700) then I may decide to get one. Assuming of course that Sky HD is a bit more sensibly priced too. I give it 2 years. By which time I expect that HD DVD & Blu-Ray will have made as much headway in the market as SACD & DVD-Audio have made in the audio market, i.e. bugger all.
