Brandon and I are both in the throes of the Evil Tummy Bug of Nepal. I've been sick longer, but Brandon's worse off. We've both been laying around the house and clutching our stomachs all day. (Thank goodness we made it back to Yeosu before it hit Brandon full-strength ( Read more... )

Ugh. When I went to India, my friend and I were laid up for about a week and a half before we got the bright idea to go to the chemist and describe our symptoms. Four hours after we paid 60 rupees for a pack of yellow pills, we were feeling better than we had in weeks.

I'd love to hear about your trip. Is there a post coming sometime soon?

Me too. It was nice of the bug to wait until we were in a country where we had health insurance before it got really nasty.

You had health insurance in Korea but not other countries? Was that insurance through your employer?

Yes, we had national health insurance in Korea. We thought about getting traveler's insurance, but figured that the state of Nepal's medical system was such that we would probably be better off dealing with minor ailments at home. :)
