Hulu Anyone?

Okay, here's the thing. I decided I wanted to reaffirm my addiction to Community. Awesome show. Not available anywhere except Hulu+. So I signed up for the free week trial. I watched all the Community episodes I missed and promptly cancelled my free Hulu trial before I could be charged $8 per month ( Read more... )

it's all about me, rants about nothing important!

Have you checked out Netflix? It doesn't have everything of course, but it has a lovely variety of TV and movies and they offer a free trial also.

That's a good idea. I didn't try there for Community because when I googled it, I think it only said Hulu. And since I could have the free week to see the episodes, I didn't look any further. But honestly? Pay and watch commercials? I just can't see it!

I say something simliar every time I got to the movies and they show commercials on the big screen. I paid to get in here! I probably even paid for my diet Coke! I could watch commercials at home, while wearing my pjs! What??

Really need to make that WTF icon.

I am right there with you! The price of movies AND watch commercials? I just don't even know. I guess I'm a curmudgeon. But honestly? If I'm going to pay for a service like Hulu (which I clearly am not anyway) WHY should I also watch commercials. This makes no sense to me!

(You can have my WTF icon. It's from from whats-the-line. Because I am fail at icons.)

NBC doesn't have the show online? that's really odd

I second the netflix option. I have streaming and just checked if Community was offered. and it doesn't look like it's available

I'm no help. I'm in New Zealand and we don't have any of them. I watch on free-to-air TV and record if the timing sucks (and thus FF the adverts). Otherwise I hire DVDs from Fatso, which is like our equivalent of Netflix.

But I have to say, if you're subscribing and paying, commercials do seem a little much.
