Another revelation of the day (stolen from Star Wars):

"Many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view."

I love talking about things with people at work...we have such an eclectic group of people working at Gator's with such awesome insight on everything. I find the ( Read more... )

TJ, Katie, Myself, Adam, Heather, Dave and Jason had the nicest server at all you can eat wings last night. It almost made waiting 2 hours for a table ok.

I'm sure it wasn't anything personal, they just wantd your money. They all do, and even Gator's wings aren't worth waiting 2 hours for.

actually, the poor thing was having a really bad night, after we'd been seated and not taken care of for about 15 minutes she got yelled at by a manager to take our table. She was totally stressed out damn near the point of tears, ok, to the point of tears. She was great though and the reorders came out with damn near no waiting.

Heh. and you are right, the wings themselvs arn't worth waiting for...but they were all you can eat..and I put away 5 orders...so...yeah. :-D worth the money, if not the time.

person a: "2+2=4"
person b: "no, 2+2=5"

expounding on your post: they're both right... from a certain point of view.... riiiiiight.....

and facts not being facts... well... doesn't that just kinda go against the definition of a fact... if it's not really a fact? and if truth doesn't exist... and that's a true statement... but I guess in today's age of people being more interested in who paired up with who on 'beauty and the geek' (women... hot... mmmmm...) than the fact that some blacks actually believe louis farakhan.... frackin... however you spell it... when he says bush conspired to blow up the dikes in new orleans to drown out and destroy black neighborhoods there, who has time for 'facts' and 'truth'?

Well, I was more refering to facts that people seem to think are facts, but are actually strong beliefs, and I also used the qualifier 'usually' in that statement. So, I wasn't saying that all facts can be interpeted in diffrent ways, but many can, and are. That was the hidden point of the post, and the people it was aimed at got the point.
On a side note, I can't stand most reality shows, however I find science fiction easier to believe then most of the crap that rolls out of Louis Farrakhan's mouth.
