There's definitely a lot less flirting between the Doctor and Donna than when it was Ten; and there's a strong sense that he is still pining for Lucie. I couldn't help wondering if the Doctor thinks Donna is looking for a husband in this AU.

Hmm. Well, they haven't been together very long, and he is dealing with a lot of PTSD. He's comfortable with her, and I feel he treats her with more respect. Ten had some not-so-nice moments that weren't going to happen with Eight. And I suspect there are some topics that aren't yet comfortable for either of them. If anything, Donna isn't ready to be looking for a husband after what happened with Lance.
