COME ON BABY LIGHT MY FIRE!

Burrrrrr....it is really cold out now. If it snows, that would help warm things up a bit. To top it off, our furnace quit working last week and because it was Christmas we could'nt call a repair man. We have been living in the family room with a space heater then dashing to our bed at night with the electric blanket.

Hope it warms up there soon. And I hope you can get the furnace fixed. Do you have a fireplace or wood stove? We have a wood stove that would keep us warm if the heat ever goes out.

We have a small space heater that really puts out the heat, but we haven't used it. Jeff had to use it when he first bought the house, in March last year, before the gas and electric were turned on. And once they were turned on, the wall heater that was here stopped working, so he still had to use it part of the time. He never had it all the way up though. ;)

You have one advantage over me - someone to help keep you warm under that electric blanket.
I'd gladly send you some of our snow, but I think it generally travels in the other direction.
The day before Christmas my water heater died, but luckily my daughters boyfriend was able to get a part and fix it, I was glad that it hadn't waited until Christmas Day because no stores would have been open to get the part he needed. Of course, we could have gone with out hot water at lot easier then you could go without heat.
Hope this finds you basking the in the glory of a warm home real soon.

The repair man never did call. Mr.D is pretty ~HOT~ under the collar about that, right now. We have base-board heat that is heated by hot water. So it is our hot water heater that is broken. Mr.D had dealings with this repairman before and I think the repairman is afraid of him now. Mr.D is a pussycat until you get him mad, then he's more of a Lion.

I find that around here it's very hard to find anyone to come in and do the "small" home repairs that we need. A lot of places around here won't service the mobile homes because a lot of stuff is under the trailer and they don't want to have to go under there. Luckily there is one heat/air conditioning place that does work on mobile homes. Also, for me, my daughter Deb's SO works in the construction field and before that use to put the mobile homes together on the sites so he's very familiar with it.
