There was a story on the on All Things Considered the week of release, and the dirt is, all the tracks used to remix are from Beatles recording sessions that were discarded or never used, and then produced in a modern style. So it's all authentic and original, but all new at the same time. And there was no staying "true" to any of the discards produced for the particular tracks in question: something from Yellow Submarine would easily be used for Revolver. That sort of thing. Helpy any?

The originals are timeless, but I'm definetly digging on the uniquity (:)) of the fades/mixes/etc
