For the last two weeks I've had an on-again-off-again blocked nose. It made me sound a bit nasal at times but wasn't much trouble and in the last few days I hadn't noticed it

Maybe you can disinfect your throat with some really strong alcohol ;)

Well I'm off work today and we have a cupboard full of spirits, couldn't hurt to try. Though I probably should wait a bit as I just had some paracetamol.
