I'm seeing people post here less and less. Livejournal isn't being swallowed whole by Tumblr, is it?

It's just us old folks on LJ. All the young kids are doing the Tumblrs, nowadays.

I think that's why I'm hesitant to join Tumblr. As much as I like it, I can see it being taken over by a bunch of teenagers who flood everyone's feed with stuff that only a teenager would care about. It's kind of like when Myspace was popular. I don't know how many times I stumbled across Myspace pages with garish pink backgrounds with "Baby Gurl" spelled out in glittering letters, or wannabe gangstas with Scarface-themed profiles.

Things are simple here on Livejournal, and I still think it's a nice place to blog even if it looks like it's on its last legs sometimes.

I switched to blogging in my own domain, which I do prolifically. :-)
