Comcast subscriberOops, correction, he's not a subscriber he just lives in their territory. Peter Ting of Dover, MA recently received a flier from Comcast in the mail promoting the TiVo DVR software. He was kind enough to scan it and send it to me. I did a little trimming and resizing. Click on the images for larger versions.

Functionality-wise, what's the difference between using a regular TivoHD and the Comcast box? Aside from the lack of need for a tuning adapter anyway. I'm guessing less of the online connectivity stuff? If you had 2 Comcast boxes, do they still do multi-room viewing and Tivo Desktop?

Less as in none - there is no network connectivity at all. No MRV, no TiVo Desktop, nada.

I was afraid that was the case. Well, just means there's no reason to wait for it to come to my area then. Thanks for the info :)

That answers my question about Comcast's newly instituted 250GB limit. I guess with no Network Connectivity its a non issue.

I am a Comcast customer and I expect to get a call because of the Amazon unboxed movies Ive download. but that is for a different forum
