TiVo today reported their financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2009, which ended July 31st. They had a good quarter, turning in their second profitable quarter in a row, and their third ever, with $2.9 million net income and $10.6 million adjusted EBITDA. I have to agree with TiVo's motives here. Adding subscribers would be nice, but investors are going to get restless if the company kept losing money. They can work on adding subscribers when they reach a point of consistently making a profit, but they can't do diddly if all the investors bail because TiVo keeps bleeding money.
