Oh, this is interesting. TiVo is adding movie downloads from Jaman.com as a compliment to the existing Amazon Unbox service. Jaman specializes in independent and international films, so it'll provide content you don't necessarily find via Unbox. (Still waiting for Anime Network downloads folks. You can make it happen...) Apple pretty much forced TiVo's hand on this one. But I'll believe it from Amazon when I see it; we've seen promises from them before.

The Jaman FAQ says "Film files are BIG. They run about 1GB per hour of film, so most of the feature-length films are 1.5 - 2GB." That isn't a HD movie, that's traditional definition.

Jaman currently has 922 movies listed; a large percentage of these are trailers and shorts.

Jaman has a lot of shorts, but they have some cool Hong Kong flicks in previews, too.
