TiVo Desktop 2.5 for Windows XP SP2 or Vista now available

TiVo Desktop 2.5 is now available for download. This update officially supports Windows XP with Service Pack 2 as well as Windows Vista.

If you're already upgraded a WinXP box to Vista with Desktop 2.4 installed, TiVo also released a utility to fix the installation before installing 2.5. Make sure to run that before attempting the 2.5

1. Yeah, you don't have to use them. But TTG files are wrapped with DRM so you have to strip the DRM to get at the raw MPEG.

2. There's no reason it would be tied to Vista that I know of.
