You are around a group of people (or just one person) and you miss something a person said and you start looking for your remote control so you can hit the instant replay button.

ROFL!!!

I can't tell you how many times I have does this and felt really stupid. I love it.

Hahahah I do that a lot like I'll go to the bathroom or something and then I'm like FUCK it's not a TiVo.

I don't have trouble with people but I do go looking for the TiVo remote on the occasions when I'm watching a tv without it. Just this past Saturday I was in a hotel room with the tv on. The commercials popped on and I grabbed the remote and went "damn, it's not TiVo."

I do this with the radio in my car. I'll stop paying attention to NPR for a little bit and when I focus on it again, I automatically reach out for the TiVo remote to rewind the show... Then I feel stupid lol

They actually make an XM radio unit that is TiVo-like, allowing you to pause and rewind. :D

I'm much more partial to Sirius...

Seems like the XM vs. Sirius debate is the same as with people who have a preference on cell phone providers, satellite vs cable, etc. They each have their benefits, and their fans.

I'm much more partial to XM, but only because it's what I have, and I love it. From what I've heard, though, the two services are very, very similar. XM has some things sirius doesn't, and Sirius has some things XM doesn't. 6, half dozen.

I do that when listening to the radio. That should be the next great invention.
