On a weird sleep schedule, 7:15am or so and I'm awake, been awake since 1 am. I've pretty much run out of movies to watch so I figure I'd make an entry rating the movies I've seen since I've been homebound the past couple weeks. 1-5 scale.

Meet the Spartans (2008), 2.5, homoerotic exercise in product placement
Definitely, Maybe (2008), 4, Very ( Read more... )

have you seen 'Once'? great movie.

I enjoyed Dan in Real Life... I thought Juliette Binoche worked as the lead woman because she was beautiful in a very earthy sense. I could see why Steve Carell's character would fall for her.

Earthy yes, and she's a good actress, perhaps just not my type. I didn't honestly believe Dane Cook's character, Mitch, would fall for her let alone Dan and Mitch fighting over her as they were. She needed to be more sultry for that kind of thing, I see her more as an aunt or sister or other supporting character rather than an object of desire.

The Strangers - lacks credibility as far as being based on true events (because basically it was based on the writer growing up in neighborhoods with abandoned houses, and very loosely based on the Keddie Murders) but though the story started to drag & the characters lacked basic survival skills- the movie still left me checking my locks for weeks.

haha wow about the locks. I'll have to add it to my list as well. I'm usually not too into horror flicks but having run out of everything else I mentioned up there I saw Prom Night and am currently acquiring Untraceable too. Good to hear from you btw.
