oh, those annoying mod posts.
Hi guys. I haven't made a post here in quite a few months, so you probably don't know who I am, but I'm one of the mods (the other being symone). Everything runs pretty smoothly here so I haven't really had much reason to post, but I wanted to touch up on the rules and let you know about a few new rules we'll be adding. The current rules are very obvious (comment, credit, don't hotlink, etc) and they're listed in the userinfo so I'm not gonna harp on about those, so here's the new ones:
» When posting teaser icons to the community, use only 'Teen Titans' icons. This is a 'Teen Titans' community, so let's actually post some icons of them here.
» Don't list each and every single icon in your post. It's annoying and takes up a lot of screen space. If you link to your journal and you do that, it's totally fine, but don't do it in the main comm. Or if you still really want to, do it under an LJ Cut.
» Use tags! This is somewhat of a new feature to LJ, but I think it would be really awesome to use here. That way if you specifically want Terra icons, you can just look through the tags for them. If you don't know about tags, you can read up on them here, but basically when you go to the update page there's a section under 'mood' and 'music' called 'tags'. If you include an icon of Terra in your post, put her name in the tags. Have an icon of Robin? Put him in the tags. You can do it for episode titles, seasons, couples, whatever you want. You could even make a tag for your username if you want, so that people could find posts just by you.
» Images bigger than 100x100 (anything that isn't an icon) is to be placed behind an LJ Cut.
» I'm not sure if images or screencaps for the upcoming 'Teen Titans' movie have leaked yet, but when they do, do NOT post icons from the movie outside of an LJ Cut. They're spoilery and you could ruin the movie for some of us who haven't seen it yet.
Any posts breaking these rules will receive a comment telling them they have 24 hours to fix their post. If you don't fix it within that time limit, then your post gets deleted. If you've made a post in the past couple days (like before I made this post) then you do NOT have to edit your entries. Just be mindful of this in the future.
Also, I spruced up the community layout. It's extremely simple, there isn't even a header, but our old layout was horrible and we definitely needed a new one. I also uploaded a mood theme symone made so now when you update your mood icons will be of the 'Teen Titans'. :D
Oh! And lastly, we're going to be starting up our icon challenges again. The last one was nearly a year ago, but they're going to be in the same basic format (two challenges per two weeks; one using pictures or a theme, one using lyrics) so if you have any suggestions for challenges, feel free to leave them in comments. I'm also going to be putting together a 'Teen Titans' resource post, so if you know of any links (other than Titans Go, The World's Finest, Titans Tower) please comment with them.
