Storm aftermath update

Thankfully we did not lose power although the internet is useless as the main offices are apparently in downtown Manhattan. I've been trying to keep up on my phone. Two parts of the fence in the backyard toppled over from the wind. The only reason we didn't get any water I'm the basement is because we didn't get much rain ( Read more... )

My jaw was constantly dropping, watching the devastation in NY and NJ. I'm so happy that you all were safe and didn't have too much damage.

I told my husband that the boardwalk at AC was completely gone, brick structures and all, and it just made me think of what a landmark it is. I wonder if it can be rebuilt, but I'm sure it won't be the same. :(

They'll rebuild but as you said it won't be the same and if i who only go there a few times a year can say that imagine what the locals must feel. :(

I am so glad to hear that you are safe and sound, and without too much devastation. I've just been horrified by the vids and pics that have been hitting the news.

We came off virtually scot free compared to what other people are going through and I remind myself to be thankful every day.

I'm really glad you're safe, the situation just sounds horrible though. Hope it gets better soon. I've not seen pictures yet, just heard it on the radio.

Parts of NYC are still a mess but NJ was hit so hard and my heart goes out to them.
