jc and having you sit next to me for two years, being appalled and awed by mrs tan's lit classes together, mass PE and the torture we went through twice weekly and the milo bars we binged on after that, your patience at my incessant enthusiasm (which could get quite loud, i am aware), and how one day you held my hand and said you valued my friendship when i said something reckless about wanting to die, writing lit essays and studying at the burger king in hougang on weekends, getting loaded up on coffee like a bunch of caffeine junkies.. the list is quite endless.

I remember... being out of myself at 17. With no bother to make friends. Or boyfriends. And just a bitter determination to pass.

And then Nadia came around with a constant, magically unannoying effort, to make me feel welcome - and succeeded. And then I smiled. And then I was an absolute retard - relaxed, happy, and remembering the bigger purpose to enjoy life. And there's been no turning back since.

We've been glued together for 18, 19, 20, 21 and now 22. And every 'morph' and 'self-discovery' I have made, even where it differs from your tastes, you've smiled, given me hugs and pats on the back.

i remember in sec 2 we used to walk together across the bridge from our block to the main block. I FORGOT THEIR NAMES! hahaha!

i remember marks and spencers caramel eggs!!!!! cannot forget this man.

and i remember your brother as a small boy in the car when your parents picked us from town! hehe
