It is often pretty good D'n'B, and I'm sure there's quite a bit of pendulum. There's only so much drum'n'bass I can appreciate, though, and it's not a huge amount.
The thing is that most people seemed to be having a good time. I didn't see anyone looking really bored or like they regretted coming. So I'm trying to figure out what it is they're all enjoying.
Wasn't your neighbour over eighty?
I thought the Carnival music went on later last year, but I suppose they're quite strict so they don't lose their licence. The worst we've had is some party nearby a couple of months ago that went on until four thirty or something and then - weirdly - restarted at seven, but only for forty-five minutes, or so.
Someone's having a party this evening, with two MCs doing the classic trick of fading down the music a bit and shouting stuff over it. Amidst the reggae and dance stuff they randomly plaid the barbie girl and the cheeky girls earlier, which was unexpected.
Maybe it's like all the brilliant films that you don't appreciate but nearly everyone else does - the carnival probably is really good, you just have an underdeveloped appreciation gland.
Like when you travelled to Japan & just shrugged at everything.

I think you should have set up your own sound system,& used it to declare aloud for all to hear how crap the carnival was.
I'm surprised the music didn't go on until later in the early hours. We've had worse from our neighbour.
