Aw man. I haven't commented so far, I think. But the way you have Sam putting the pieces together, and at the same time resisting putting them together, it's just... very powerful and painful. And Dean's resentment that Sam hadn't picked up on it paired with his horror that Sam might is note perfect.

The whole thing wasn't exactly a win/win situation for either, even if there was some cuddling at the end.

Oh...
I don't even know what I feel right now except I know I want to pet the boys and coo there, there at them. Although they are cuddling so they seem to be doing all right for now. Kinda more hopeful if still messed up and achy but at least they're on the right path and not still so lost.

Is this the end?

Wow, I discovered I started this story back in '08 and just read the final chapters from '10 & '11 just now lol.. This story was so beyond worth the wait though. Saying you did a fantastic friggn job(!)♥ isn't compliment enough, so I'll end by saying: "you've inspired me to write." Loved this story, so glad you shared♥

..is seriously considering continuing this story, cuz...

sam must find john. a winchester family reunion of epic proportions must occur. the angst and pain that would come from dean as he watches one of his only two true loves in his entire fucked up world die, would be awesome. and who would die? which one would it be? sammy? or daddy? could sam really best john?..is a young, strong, fast, rage-filled sam good enough to beat a master hunter and marine?

yeah. srsly, i need to write this..

wow... this fic really resonated with me... i'm so glad i found it after it was finished, i'd have a hard time leaving it half way through not knowing... as it is, i'm still too caught up in it ( ... )

This was actually supposed to continue on until after they met with John again. It occurred to me that it was beyond my ability unless I wanted to continue writing this for the next twenty years. :( I thought the pivotal point might be the best place to end it, as that was possibly the only positive pivotal point for Dean in the entire story. I might one day try to tie it up a little better, but it's on the backburner.

I'm happy it otherwise worked out for you, though. :)
