In your head, they are dying...

I keep thinking that I'm going to have time to do stuff at the end of the day after Reserves. I don't think I ever actually do. It doesn't help that they kept us late every day, and Thursday and Friday I had to work. Ugh. Still, overall, it wasn't a bad weekend. I've also discovered I'm both my SM's bitch and the chaplain's. It's actually nice to ( Read more... )

Hee! When I went through my CLS certification the guy giving me an IV was so nervous I thought he was going to pass out. I had to reassure him that he wasn't hurting me over and over again. He's in my unit so now we have a running joke that I was his first stick and he made me bleed all over. Yes, we are sick bastards. Anyway, I hate the uncertainty of deploying. Will I or won't I? It makes life difficult to plan. I hope it all works out for you.

My guy was tentative. He was trying to be a tad too gentle when you think that the whole point is the needle breaking through the skin to reach the blood vessel. *huffs*

My instructor, the guy doing the IV, and I were all trying so hard not to make poking, doing, etc. comments. It's amazingly hard to give and take an IV without it coming out like an innuendo. Who would have thunk it?

Hi....ran into your posting by accident. I don't know if this will help but if you are military...which it sounds like you might be...
there are programs to foster your pets while you are deployed.

Check out
https://www.netpets.org/netp/foster.php

There are others too.
Sorry to intrude but I hope it helps.

All that RL stuff going on and you're cranking out awesome writing? *is wowed* I still say your tent!fic is in the top three greatest fics of FF7 fandom of all time ever. I don't even like SPN but I still read your stuff because a good author can make anything worthwhile. Hope you can find a good temp home for your babies when the time comes.

*snorts* I've gotten into series for no other reason than I was following an author. It's a sad, sad thing...and is horribly addictive at times. Yeesh.

Everything's kinda up in the air right now. Hopefully they'll tell me something solid soon.

Go with God, whatever winds up happening. I'd love to take your cat (I've had... misunderstandings... with dogs) but I'm living in a dorm. (Also, while I could probably manage to hide the cat, no way in hell I could hide the dog. Though one dorm has had a 'fuzzy houseplant' for several years that's oddly mobile and looks strangely like a small bunny rabbit).

Strangely enough, the dog is easier than the cat (one thinks she's royalty, the other doesn't), but it's completely understandable. I'm actually hiding one cat here: I'm only allowed to have two animals, and I have three. *coughs*
