I really loved this story. Getting to read it so many times over the course of the project just cemented that! I loved the warmth between Sam and Jody, and the gentle development of their relationship in this. It stood as a counter to but also in sympathy with the far more brutal journey Dean and Castiel's relationship took; when the landscape itself is formed from and reacting to your very soul, the emotional tumult has such intense consequences!

And for all that Crowley's early remarks about Purgatory seemed flippant, in the end, it really did help Dean and Castiel realise that, not only were they good together, but that they each had worth of their own.

*edit* - oh, and the scariness of the idea of Kevin, even as a tiny little boy, seeing all those horrifying things! Poor lad D:. But a demonic prophet, what a great concept <3.

A truly excellent read ♥.

Thank you so, so much! Again, for everything - for your suggestions, for your beautiful art, for your boundless enthusiasm. You made me take this story to the next level, and I couldn't have done that without you. So you should take credit for a good deal of this story turning out the way it did. Thank you, thank you.

It's been an absolute honor. Repeating myself now, but really it can't get said enough. An HONOR.

Just to tell you again what a delight this fic is. It really is everything that is best about the show and Dean and Cas (and Sam. And Jody. I don't think I said how marvellous it is she is in here)

Love it. Love you.

P.S. You were also right about the art!

Thank you so much, sweetheart. I really and truly couldn't have done it without you. You kept me going when I was despairing of even having a story to tell, and you've been such a source of light and life and help in steering this (and me) where it needed to go. I don't have enough words to thank you for being a wonderful friend and cheerleader and beta. I love you love you love you so much.

And *geeks out* OMG IKR??? :DDDDD

The imagery, the emotions, the pain you feel reading this. Holy Cas, this was just amazing. You have completely outdone yourself. I felt like I was right there with them. Not to mention how you handled Purgatory itself makes so much sense, and that is coming from a lapsed Catholic who was raised believing in the place. There wasn't a single time reading this that anything felt wrong or out of place or just HUH? And the artwork fits perfectly with each part. One thousand Kudos for this sweetie. Fantastic Job!!!

Oh, you. Oh, you. So much done so brilliantly right! The three things I most craved -- Dean's encounter with Gordon, Sam pulling his brother out, Dean meeting up with all the creatures he SENT to Purgatory -- and you wrote them! I'll love you forever for those bits alone. And your version of Purgatory was crazy-brilliant, especially the denizens "recharging" in the day, and the way Purgatory itself changed as Dean's soul did. And the monsters were terrifying. Plus Dean and Castiel working together. Jody and Sam's little interlude. Charlie (CHARLIE!!) and her rather unique qualifications. LOL, you wicked woman, you -- I never would've thought of something like that. ;) Crowley's spot-on snark. But poor, poor Kevin-- how is that kid still sane?

Ya done good, bb. Brilliant work. *hugs you*

Ah, Crowley. <33333

Ahhhh!! You picked up on all the things that I was really proud of (including Charlie's qualifications, heeee!!) Thank you so, so much!!! I am so, so glad you enjoyed it!

To tell you the truth, there are still untold stories in this 'verse -- what Crowley found in the last prophecy, what happens with Jody and Sam afterward, what happens to Kevin after he gets home, and what happens as Dean and Cas finally have time to be with each other. Not to mention the phone conversation between Jody and Charlie, which I was QUITE amused by but had to cut for pacing's sake. There is lots I'd love to write more about in this verse, but I don't think I'll have the chance. so many other projects brewing... :3

Thank you so, so much for reading and for commenting - your enthusiasm makes it all worth it!! LOVE you hon <3 Thanks so much, again!!!

Lovely fic! I've been excited to read this ever since the claim page went up, since I also wrote a Purgatory fic and yours was the only one on the list that seemed to really delve into that. So it was a pleasure to read this and see how you handled the setting!

I really enjoyed the way that you switched back and forth between Dean and Sam in this fic. I thought about doing that in mine, but I didn't think I'd be able to strike the proper balance, but you did a great job of it here! And Sam and Jody were wonderful together. I like how you handled their relationship, and the note it leaves off on.

The descriptions of the monsters were awesome and evocative, and I love the concept of Purgatory being shaped by Dean (and Castiel's) souls. It's such a neat idea, and it led to some great imagery.

Nice work!
