This is adorable, and something about everything these guys went through framed into the more non-specific, softer language of a fairy tale actually gives it an extra twist of ouch -- it actually sort of points to how fairy tales are actually very dark underneath the wishes and happily-ever-afters. Dean and Cas as a fairy tale--which Cas is telling a certain way for a small child, but we know how dark and bloody and difficult it was getting to where they are in your ficlet. /tl;dr
