Somehow, Dean, Cas, Sam and Bobby get handcuffed together with angel-proof/whatever cuffs by Balthazar, and have to sit down and just TALK AND COMMUNICATE AND JUST BE HONEST AND SAY *EVERYTHING* THAT'S ON THEIR FRIGGIN' MINDS AND *LISTEN* TO WHAT THE OTHERS HAVE TO SAY!!!! Imagine that last bit in Crowley's pissed-off!voice....
“Okay, I give up,” Dean snaps, staring spitefully in the distant darkness of the night sky. “Cas, I know you can hear me, you son of a bitch. Show yourself. I want to” - he chokes on the word like it’s a piece of tofu - “talk.”
For a few moments, nothing happens. There’s no sound of the wings, just the cold wind wailing miserably as it sweeps across Bobby’s backyard.
Dean rolls his eyes. “Come on, Cas, don’t be a friggin’ coward. You wanted to explain, didn’t you? Well, I’m here.” He spreads his arms, a half-empty bottle of whiskey slipping precariously in his hand like a tipsy dance partner. “Show yourself and explain.”
“Would there be any point?”
Dean jumps, cursing under his breath. It’s been years really. He should have long gotten used to this

“And you honestly think that I relish this? Dean, I am an angel.”
“Oh, yeah. I gotta tell you, you really look the part now.”
Castiel throws his hands up in the air in a purely human gesture that somehow seems inherently natural for him.
“Nothing to say?” Dean presses.
Castiel looks at him. “I don’t know what you want me to say, Dean. That I had no choice? You wouldn’t believe that.”
“Then tell me something I can believe. Cas, I can’t-” Dean fumbles for words, desperately, sharp ache clawing at his chest from the inside. “I need you to give me something material. Something I can believe. I need to have my faith in you back. Please.” He draws a deep breath shakily, meeting the angel’s eyes. “Please.”
Castiel stares at him for a long, lingering moment, then shakes his head slightly. “I can’t give you back something you never had,” he says, his tone undeniably sad. Broken.“I raised you from Perdition. I Fell for you.” He looks away before adding quietly, “I died for you

Ok not sure if this is aloud as it is not strictly Dean/Cas
Baltazar goes to Cas to convince him that Dean is right and they have to find another way to stop Raphael and they end up getting closer than either of them expected.
