I like the episode, but i really would like you develop what happened to John learning to use his empaty as a weapon and surviving uni! While John strugle with his upbring as a sentinel and as a holmes

Maybe can do you do a flashback of it? It could be awesome!

That would be pretty dang awesome to have a John learning to be a badass through uni flashback. Unfortunately the majority of the fic has already been blocked out and written so I'm not sure where I could fit a flashback. Sorry to disappoint, I know how much it sucks when you just want to know more and the author doesn't deliver. :(

I just stumbled on this from BBCSherlock. I enjoyed it so much! Young John is super-cute and I like how he initially takes the side of the Trackers when he sees the guide caught as a boy. That seems totally right to me - kids often do instinctively side with authority, so it added a level of creepiness and realism to the world for me. Anyway, I'm hoping you will write more! I can't tell if you are doing a straight prequel, or planning to write your own spin off, but, either way, it is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you liked it! For young John I figured that nobody as a kid imagines themselves as growing up to be weak or subservient so if you picture yourself as being part of the stronger group you'd immediately want to side with them even if they are in the wrong.
Just to clarify, this could be considered an AU of the ideas Chameleon presented. It's not directly related to velvet maces fic except for me cherry picking ideas (with permission, of course)and sewing them together with my own ideas into a zombie fic of sorts. Hope you'll enjoy what's to come even more. :D

Oh god. I am so excited about this.
Can never get enough Sentinel AU.
I loved how you showed the general mindset about Sentinels and Guides through childJohn.
And the Guide who was being taken away. It was just heartbreaking.

I'm excited to see your take on this! Can't wait for more!
