Thanks! : ) I've been keeping up with all your house news as well. I never knew the whole process could be so terribly exhausting! If all goes well, I'll be closing on the 15th of April...keep your fingers crossed!

It does all go much more quickly that I would have ever expected...which is not such a bad thing. I'm afraid if I had much time to think about it, I'd have myself in the throes of a full-blown crazed weasel panic attack.

Ah, yes...the good doctor. I adore him. I'm flattered that he sent you this way. : )

I dig the painted toenails! I'm not always made up or dressed to the nines but I must must have my toes painted...its like my little present to myself...get bored slip off your shoes and voila ten colorful little friends.

AH...but I know that leaving night melancholy. The saddest part is seeing the ol' place empty.

The best way to see how my life is going--look at my feet. If my toenails aren't painted then I'm probably hospitalized or dead! It's one of those quirky habits from darker times when painting my toenails was the one small ritual that made me feel like my life was in control...the one thing between me and total chaos--painted toenails! ; )

It's just so perfect.
just that tiny image speaks volumes about your house, which I'm sure is amazing.
Why are you leaving?

I'm actually in the process of buying a house! As much as I loved this one, it wasn't mine (is there such a thing as a foster house?). The one that I will hopefully be closing on shortly is beautiful and I'm excited about it. I'm just a clinger (to places, rather than people) by nature...likely a consequence of never feeling like I had roots as a kid.

Beautiful photo indeed... I love the soft sepia tones of it. You look wonderful of course too :)

I can only imagine you sorry at leaving. I've moved so much in my life, and it's why I've held on so long here now. It's just an apartment, but I decided to decorate and really make it feel like home over the last 7 years. I really love it now, and really do dread the thought of having to move again. It's such a stressful time in a persons life. I really hope that you will experience very little of that in your move.

Hopefully you will settle into your new home in a flash, and grow to love it even more in time. When moving day does come, I hope it will be as peaceful as possible for you, and your family.

Blessings of peace and love...
Scruffy

I moved around a lot as a kid too...I think that really makes you want to find a place to light when you get older. As hard as it was, I can't say that I didn't get a lot out of it. I'm sure that I'm much more independent than I would have been otherwise. Thanks for the nice thoughts! : )

It is indeed a lovely photo. But then I'm not convinced you've ever taken a bad one.

I realized not long ago that I have a riduculous number of photo albums for someone who is neither a grandmother nor a professional shutterbug. All vain attempts to capture that sense of time and place that this photo so eloquently expresses. May your new home be the occasion for even more beautiful images.

As always, dear Doctor, you are too kind to me. Keep it up. : )
