"I Don't Remember Asking For This!"
Who:  Sherlock & Mycroft
When: Happy Birthday Sherlock!

Most newly forged eleven year olds had parties with balloons and friends.  As Sherlock did not have any friends and most of the children in his classes had long since learned to either ignore or stay away from him, the day of Sherlock's birthday came with little fanfare and a cake for three purchased at a bakery.  His mother had not even bothered to get his name written on it.  Ten years of trying to tempt her son with personalized confection and arguing with the baker on how her son's name ought to be spelled had spoiled the tradition.

As if today was nothing special, Sherlock pushed his way into Mycroft's room at just passed eight in the morning, kicked off his shoes as usual, and climbed up into his bed.

The boy had a magnifying glass in one hand and a moth in the other.  He had seen a medical drama in which a man had gone insane thinking he had voices in his head when it turned out to be a tiny moth trapped inside his ear.  He did not believe his brother would go insane if something similar happened to him, however.  Sherlock would inform him of the moth's presence if he started to show signs of mental illness.

person: mycroft
