I just typed a long comment to you, but my retarded computer deleted it so thats just gah. Anyway, 79,000 words, oh my! and I fret over a couple hundred, dear me. I would LOVE to meet up this year! I know I always say this, but I am SERIOUSLY considering visiting you in Tokyo this summer. It's the first year that I've actually had a chance to save some travel money and I think I'll deserve a serious treat by July/August. So let's keep in touch about this, yeah?

Mel!! I'm so sorry that I missed you. I thought of you many times during my visit, but I couldn't figure out a way/time to get into Rogers Park for dinner. As always, these visits suffer from an impracticle time-crunch, and this was made even worse by dog-sitting obligations, lack of car, and chapter-drafting in between the holidays. Keep in touch though and I hope 2007 is good to you and Amy!
