HAY YES. MERLIN. YES YES YES.
Um. I love that show. But. I would like to point this out: sometimes the acting/plotline/LINES OMGDALINES make me cringe so yeah. BUT. Totally worth ignoring for the awesomeness that is the rest of the show.

idk what you've heard about Merlin, but Merlin and Arthur are so slashable they practically write their own epic gay romance. spoiler: they're "two sides of one coin", their "destinies are bound together", they're "destined to always be by each others' sides" WHICH IS LIKE. AWESOME

I need something to distract me now that I'm all done watching True Blood. Well really, I need a distraction from the fact that no more True Blood means no more blond viking vampire... because aparently all I need for crazy levels of atraction/obsession is big, blond and speaks Swedish.

So yes, Merlin sounds good. And nobody told me that Anthony Head plays Uther Pendragon. Why hasn't anyone told me this very important fact? Because that's more than reason enough to watch the series.

There is. Played by Alexander Skarsgård, so actualy Swedish (and I still don't really get why in my mind, speaks Swedish = attractive as hell. *is confused* in RL that doesn't usually make much of a diffrence to me, or maybe I just haven't noticed...). He is kinda pretty and there's nakedness. :) (Also, in a flash back scene to when he was all human and viking-y Peter Franzen briefly appeared as a viking, which I found totally hilarious.)

Uther should be an asshole from what I remember about what I've read about Arthurian legends. But I've sort of had a tiny crush on the actor since I started watching Buffy (which would have been at some point in the nineties). He played Giles in Buffy. :)
