have finally discovered which courses i am to be wading through next year.

in english its,

Gender & Theatrical Representation
Postmodernism and Feminism

and in history,

Gender and Society : Men and Women in the Middle Ages
Cuba since 1895

now excuse me while myself, judith butler and che guevara go off and nuzzle in the corner.

Postmod and fem rocks, by the way. I did it, then Pete and Sarah did it, and Julie Marny is lovely. She has brain damage so won't remember your name, but read a lot of Angela Carter before the course and you'll make an impression. Also, she lets you write essays on Buffy.

You ever want to rant about some of the weird aspects of feminism, post, yell about the weirdos who think all sex is rape and how we should say 'wimmin' as it doesn't have 'men' in it, and I'll agree, smug in the knowledge that I never have to speak to those kinds of people again.

oh glory be no... those are my very favourite kind of people. besides, after a year at a north american institution (in every possible sense of the wrod institution) i am more than prepared for desperately earnest, desperately ignorant militant pseudo-academics who compensate for rationality with blind extremism. i'll be sure to wear my 'Diamonds: She'll Pretty Much Have Too' Family Guy t-shirt first day of classes.
