Jin's voice is hoarse and he's almost dropping off to sleep, but Kame spooned comfortably behind him, is insistent, bony finger poking his ribs under the damp covers and Jin gives in, like he always does.
He reaches blindly for the book on the floor, hidden beneath their scattered clothes. He already has the lines memorized in his head, but flips the page open anyway, eyes resting once again on that little note.
" 'The chameleon elephants kept their wings but agreed never again to land on the earth. When they go to sleep, the elephants always lie down in the same place in the sky and dream with one eye open.' There. Are you satisfied?"
Kame's hand snakes around him and places his palm on Jin's heart. He mumbles something against Jin's shoulder blades and Jin smiles. He drops the book back on the floor, a muffled thud as it lands on their clothes.
"I know."

Kame stares back, and without missing a beat, presses a kiss to Jin's neck, never taking his eyes off her.
