Not Much To Talk About.

- Not today really. I'm in the apartment so my internet has been wavering in and out. (Unfortunately.) And thus I have had to occupy myself with doing something else. What's that something else?

- Subbing. I've been practicing timing and subbing and editing fonts and whatnot. And it hasn't been going so terrible. Thanks to Marikit/insane_desire's translations

oh so you learned how to hardsub? cuz marikit was talking about that yesterday and i said i knew how, hahaha and i just needed to time, lol. i think timing is harder than hardsubbing >_< HAHAHA :]

lucky on the japanese class >_< i can't take it until january, which would be year since i last took it, so i might have to restart >_< LOL

Subbing, timing, a;lkscdjfasf. All of that nice stuff. ~_~;; LOL I find it hilarious that I'm timing when I know like, less than HALF the things they are saying. I keep having to guess. XP And timing is really flipping hard. *agrivations abound*

Timing is THAT hard? I was thinking of ways to do it and I'm like ~eeep~ like you have to write down the time they talk and then the person and then color code and *sweatdrop* You never realize how hard it is to sub something until you try to do it. I think hardsubbing is the easiest thing... when you have the subs, lol ~should learn to time now too~ HAHAHA

It really is. ~_~;; But I've... gotten used to it kinda. And fudging which one is which. It really gets hard when they're talking over each other. (I do it by ear. Timing using .wavs is the best for me, I think.) And oooh. Well, the color coding comes after. LOL. And it really does get hard. *laughs* Maybe. *shrugs* Although, in subbing groups, they're usually split, so depends on your preference.

I am "learning" japanese by
1. listening to instructional podcasts
2. reading a grammar textbook
3. watching as much d/l'd stuff as I can, both with and without subs

My comprehension has grown a lot, but fluency is waaaayyyyy far in the future.

Oooh. I'm listening to the Podcast too! And it's really very useful. But those are great methods! I know non-subbed stuff help me a lot. But I'm so lazy that I can never really teach myself so classes are usually best.

Hee! Right now I'm working more on timing and fixing font. But I've encoded ONCE and it didn't turn out so bad. So yeah. Kinda? *laughs* We'll see.
