"Boys don't cry," Tegoshi said grudgingly, looking down at Shige's tiny figure, legs pulled in. Dirt was smeared across Shige's face, mingling with the tears and slightly shaking as he looked up at Tegoshi.
Shige furiously wiped at his eyes. "I know that."
Massu extended his hand, and although Shige had originally been reluctant to take it - ogre boogers did that to a person - he still did, standing up, even if he didn't look ready to. "Are you okay?"
"You guys saved me," Shige gasped out finally. "An ogre was here, and you still stayed."
