But seriously, that kind of absolute asshat isn't at all uncommon. My father gets it all the time- I can't smoke in your taxi? Why then, you must be racist! Only not so politely put.

I know what you mean about how infuriating such a thing could be. People like that, they don't really want a solution, they're just looking for excuses to go off on someone and make themselves look like the victim. And it's not like you've never known discrimination. This old blues man from the 1920's once said that when he was a kid, his parents told him that everyone in Canada had one big eye, right in the middle of their forehead.
Thought you might get a kick out of that. ;) Tell that to sonny jim next time he comes in muttering about white folks.
