Oh my, what pretty hair you have...

Jan 05, 2006 14:42

I'm never quite sure how to respond when people ask me if my hair is real. Not if the colour is natural or if I have a perm, no no. They want to know if my actual hair is indeed, my own. I never know what to say. If I say yes, the automatic response is for them to reach out and touch it, which creeps me out. I'm not a touchable person, something ( Read more... )

Man, I can so relate on the hair thing. Though for me, the question is usually in reference to my hair color. I often get people asking me if my hair color is natural, and then they look all amazed when I tell them yes. o_O ( ... )

03.I can't handle Harry Potter. I just can't. I tried reading the books, all of them, praying that I could get through more than the first 40 pages, and I just can't. Everytime I read one, all I see is a cheap rip off of Lord of the Rings.>/i>

*runs and gives you the BIGGEST kiss ever* THANK YOU!!!!!! I love you. Will you, like, marry me now?

What really annoys me sometimes is the word "weird".

I've been called weird quite a few times in my life and it always makes me feel like I'm the odd one out, the WEIRD one who doesn't belong, or shouldn't belong, or is not wanted by other people, because I'm just. So. Weird. This is why I've come to associate the word with everything negative, and I get quite upset when people use the word to describe me; I wish people didn't use it as much as they do.

I really can't see why all those things that you listed make you weird. I know you were probably only half serious about it, but somehow it annoyed me how you put yourself in a box like that, and I really really really hope you weren't serious about it, at least I hope you weren't thinking of the word in a negative sense. Everyone is like that, you know. Everyone has little things, likes, dislikes, fears like that. You probably know it. I hope you do, and I hope "weird" in this case was just... I dunno... slightly goofy? That sounds better.

Don't put yourself in the weird people

"quirky" is probably a better word than "weird". but to be honest, weird, to me, has never meant anything negative. The exact opposite, actually.

I went to a high school where everybody, and I do mean EVERYBODY, was exactly the same. They all had gorgeous hair, designer clothes, and polished shoes. I needed to be different, out of the ordinary, I needed to be WEIRD. Weird, to me, means quirky. Goofy. Slightly-left-of-center, which I have been for most of my life. I readily admit it, even though nobody can really define where "center is".

I hate boxes, too. I hate labels and isms. I hate things that are the same because they fit INTO that box. Weird, for me, is anything that's outside of the box. now, that may be in another box as well, but then we're diving into the isms.

Plain and simple, since I'm rambling: Weird means very different things for the both of us. I see it as a very positive thing :)

2) That's bizarre, out and out. You're the only person I've ever met.
3) That is a cryin' shame, kiddo!
4) This is how I am with the word "defibrillator". I cannot say it. :D
5) I had a buddy named Michael T who could do that! :D He had Magic Hands! But he played crazy good uitar, so perhaps that was part of the reason. Hmm. You have Magic Hands.
11) That is an utter loss, and I weep for you.

You're weerd. :) But grooveh!

01.I have this qualm with doors that are semi-opened/closed. It creeps me out. I either have to open the door up all the way, or close it. None of this half stuff.

Man, I thought I was the only one who did that. One of my biggest pet peeves in life is when someone leaves a door cracked. I'm like, "CLOSE THE FUCKING DOOR!!!" When a family member did that (when I was younger and lived at home), I would be too lazy to get up and close it, so I'd just pick up the nearest shoe or something and fling it at the door, hoping it closed it. :)
